Has participated as party representative in numerous construction industry arbitrations.

Experienced in all stages of the arbitral from commencement to final award/decision and, thereafter, to appeals and enforcement. Has participated as party advisor in mediations.

Having worked for 3 years in the litigation department of Martyn Amey & Co., solicitors, is well versed in civil litigation and has passed the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test.

Extensive knowledge of the offshore wind industry and the stands applied such as DNV-OS-J201 having worked exclusively in the industry between 2012 and 2019.

Extensive knowledge of the FIDIC, EEC and JCT standard forms of contract based on use on offshore wind, civil engineering and building projects.

Editor of the text book Construction Contract Claims, now in its fourth edition.

Employment History: Commenced working life in the civil engineering industry before studying law. Qualified as a barrister in 1986 and employed as a senior contracts advisor since 1985. Provided contractual advice, contact drafting and full arbitration services to contractors, subcontractors and employers. Kerrigans’ consultant since 1995.

​

Worked overseas in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Gibraltar, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway and Germany.

​
